Avoiding Tax, VAT and Court fines... |

Recent research into EMA Users, found that many organisations are not collecting sufficient details to show where or why an expense occurred and, if the expenses are legitimate, are uncertain of whether to record an expense as an employee benefit, a PSA (PAYE Settlement Agreement) item, an item subject to corporation tax or simply as business travel and subsistence.
The research also found that many organisations do not carry out sufficient checks on employees using vehicles for work purposes. In the case of an accident in an unchecked vehicle the organisation and management personnel could be found liable.
