Complexity Module Extension gives Faster Results

The release of SMART TS XL 7.1.9 delivers exciting new features and enhancements including a new micro level search capability called EQAL (Extended Query Analysis Language).

EQAL (Extended Query Analysis Language)
This is an extension of the complexity module. Allowing users to search on actual syntax per language. The following languages are supported: COBOL, NATURAL, JCL, PROC, ASSEMBLER.

This new capability enables you to find just what you are looking for saving valuable time by eliminating false true search hits. EQAL is a set of additional key words that can be used when composing a search query phrase. An example of how EQAL can be used on a COBOL Program is illustrated below:

New Search Query Wizard
The new wizard will walk you through composing complex search queries using EQAL, searching on PC document's properties or composing free text search phrases.

Complete Control Over User Access to Data, using Windows Active Directory
Now when you use Windows Active Directory to control users login to SMART TS XL you can also map between Active Directory groups and allowed data type/libraries within SMART TS XL. When the user logs in he/she can only see data relating to the allowed data types.

Support for Uploading of CICS Report
New "out of the box" support for the uploading of Mainframe CICS report. Simply use SMART TS XL Manager to create a Library/Data type with a language type "CICS" then FTP the report to the SMART TS XL server...we will take it from there...

Hyperlinking & XREF Support for COBOL if Program-ID & Program Name aren't the same
Now when a COBOL program is uploaded to the SMART TS XL system with a different Program-ID than the program name SMART TS XL detects it and adds hyperlinks and XREF data based on both the name and the ID.
